Awesome Lives Here is an award-winning magazine ad made for and in partnership with the Missouri Division of Tourism originally for the June 2023 issue of the fictional Ozarks Life magazine. The advertisement's objective was to highlight a unique, little-known aspect of Missouri in order to encourage Missouri residents to have a staycation.
Most people don't realize that bison live in Missouri, so that seemed like the perfect "awesome" to highlight. I wanted to create an advertisement that felt cinematic and larger-than-life, so I made the text interact with the imagery to produce a 3D, realistic effect.
The result is a compelling marketing piece for Missouri awesome, which, by God's grace, won a Silver Addy at the 2024 Heartland Addy Awards.
