“The Book of Cook” is a fifty-six page cookbook featuring recipes submitted by Ozarks Technical Community College graphic design students.
The target audience is Generation Z and Millennials who prefer clean, modern design, but I was given the freedom to control the creative direction. I decided to go whimsical, with a bright color palette that inspires the palate (get it?) in order to appeal to a more general audience that included Generation Z and Millennials.
My concept featured a diverse family of ingredients (representing the diverse source of the recipes) who come together to guide a reader through the cookbook. The result is a fun, inspiring, and welcoming cooking experience. And who can hate on that?
