Knifecastle is a passion project of mine, created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as a “mappish” incarnation of my Southwest Missouri home and the acreage surrounding it. Inspired by the maps of J. R. R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth and the versatility of minimalistic iconography, I set out to create something that felt old and fun, with a hint of mystery and two hints of foreshadowing.
This map also serves as a rough guide for the directionally challenged.
