Morning Star Rises is an album by a folk band called Stars and Fireflies. The album’s central concept is the idea of hope in the midst of darkness—I designed and illustrated the cover to convey this concept via the imagery of a wave-tossed ship in the midst of a storm looking up to the starry skies, and the contrast of white stars against a dark blue sky.
The album’s title was inspired by 2 Peter 1:19: “Until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.”
